Mission and Vision

Our Vision

Looking for the Dhamma, you find it in yourself.

Vipassana can be translated as “Insight,” a clear awareness of exactly what is happening as it happens. The method comes directly from the Satipatthana Sutta [Foundations of Mindfulness], a discourse attributed to the Buddha himself.

Samatha can be translated as “concentration” or “tranquility.” It is a state in which the mind is brought to rest, focused only on one item and not allowed to wander. When this is done, a deep calm pervades body and mind, a state of tranquility which must be experienced to be understood.

Our Mission

Liberation or Nirvana is a state of freedom from suffering and rebirth, the highest aim of the Theravada tradition.

Our mission is dedicated to the study and practice of Buddhist teachings – mindfulness, ethics, compassion, loving-kindness, and liberation.  We offer silent meditation retreats. Our retreats are focused on insight meditation (Vipassana) and the liberation teachings of the Buddha.

Daily practice forms the foundation of insight meditation, the practice of mindfulness and compassion, our daily lives have better actions of mankind. Then the world will surely enjoy greater peace, prosperity and happiness.

May there be peace and prosperity for all.
